* Mr.N.S.Venkataraman, Chemical Engineer by profession has over 35 years of experience in chemical and allied fields in India and abroad.Mr.N.S.Venkataraman heads Nandini Consultancy Centre Pvt.Ltd., a well known firm of Chemical Engineers and Technologists and is Chief Editor of Nandini Chemical Journal.

**Mr.Swaminathan Venkataraman, is a Chemical Engineer and MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), with over ten years of experience in international management functions in reputed global multinational organizations in Europe and Asia.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Chemical industries are making rapid strides in several directions and are contributing substantially to industrial and economic growth.

With increasing consumer’s expectations on the one hand and with the need to maintain ecological standards and optimize production and energy costs, chemical industries are now facing challenges and opportunities of enormous dimensions.

Chemical industries, both in India and abroad, are striving to meet the challenges ahead and are now reorienting themselves by doubling the technology,  management and investment efforts.

In order to achieve the targets, there is great realization amongst the chemical industries that well trained manpower in management, with particular expertise in chemical industries,  are urgently required.

There is big need to fine tune the chemistry, technology and chemical engineering education and with some management inputs, so that appropriately trained and readily employable candidates would be available to take up the complex functions in chemical industries.

The objective of the programme is to meet the needs of the chemical industry for immediately deployable resources at managerial level.

COURSE METHODOLOGY

The course would be conducted in the mode of distance educatioin  programme.

The course material would be sent by email to the students. Periodic online tests would be conducted.

Face to face interactive programme for a period five days would take place at Chennai

The students would be continuously assessed based on performance, assignments and tests.

 

COURSE CONTENT

Curriculam has been designed based on the consultation with the senior chemical engineers and management professionals serving in the chemical industry.

The course would provide combination of technical, marketing and managerial information and would discuss the methodology of optimizing the performance of chemical industry, that would enhance the employability of the students in the competitive environment.

 The course content would cover the various functions in chemical industry, to give complete orientation to the students on the trends in the Indian and global chemical industry, its needs as well as the issues that are faced and that have to be tackled.
